22% of diaspora votes arrive, envelopes from Australia, Afghanistan, Panama, Thailand and Singapore

The Central Election Commission has received 55,761 votes from the diaspora so far (Saturday afternoon), which constitute 22% of the total number of those registered to vote from abroad.

Nearly 80% of voters have received their ballot envelopes (245,935 envelopes sent and 193,823 envelopes received by voters).
The votes received so far are mostly from the Durrës (11,457 envelopes) and Tirana (10,521 envelopes) regions. Votes have come from 64 different countries around the world, while envelopes delivered to the diaspora include 85 countries.

The diaspora that has brought the most votes so far is that of Italy, with 29,607 electoral packages, followed by Germany with 7,796 votes brought, England with 4,321 envelopes, America with 4,189 votes, and Greece, due to problems, has so far brought only 3,834 votes, out of an expected total of 68,000 votes.
