After the announcement by the Ministry of Justice that the heart organ of the young Saimir Sula will be repatriated and the procedures will be carried out in Barcelona on July 12, 2023, there was a reaction from the young man's family members.

Saimir's sister, Majlinda Sula, in a statement to the media, said yesterday that the family members were not informed, even though the ministry's announcement states that the procedure will be carried out in the presence of Saimir Sula's family members and official institutions from Albania and Spain, involved in this issue.

Also, his sister has expressed doubts that the heart that is expected to come to Albania is not her brother's, since 3 years ago Spain rejected the request for the DNA test.

She points out that her brother may have been killed and if the heart belongs to him, the institutions must find out the cause of death.

On May 8, 2020, Saimiri went to the hospital for a Covid test, as he had a fever. The test was negative. Majlinda, his sister, was waiting for Saimiri to leave the hospital, but after a phone call with her, she did not see her brother alive anymore. The hospital confirmed the death of the 31-year-old around noon on May 9, 2020.

Initially, the hospital said that Saimir Sula was agitated and during the moment of neutralization by the hospital guards, his heart stopped. But the sister says that Saimiri had signs of violence on his body.

The Institute of Forensic Medicine in Barcelona does not have an exact conclusion on the causes of death. In the last phone call, the sister says that Saimir told her: Majlinda, they are killing me !
