Flash check in Peqin prison, convict caught "checking" with iPhone

The police services at the Peqin Penitentiary Institution conducted a flash check in the institution's cells where an "iPhone 16" mobile phone placed on charge as well as a USB were found and seized.

The cell phone was found in the possession of citizen Indrit Shaqja, in room 11 on the first floor, where he committed the damage. It is reported that the structures of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Commission were immediately notified of the case for further procedural actions.

Flash check at Peqin Penitentiary

Based on operational data, the institution's own Police structures conducted a flash search in building B, sector no. 2, room 11, first floor.

During the search, a working mobile phone, turned on and charging, as well as a USB were found and seized from the convict with the initials I.SH.

The case was immediately reported to the ICBC structures for further procedural actions.

The General Directorate of Prisons continues its uncompromising fight against the introduction and possession of prohibited items in prisons.
