Two people arrested in Durrës for committing armed robbery

Durrës Police have arrested citizen MF, 21 years old, resident of the village of Mafsheq, after it is suspected that on 19.06.2026, at around 02:30, masked and armed with an automatic weapon, he entered the yard of a citizen's apartment in the village of Radë with the intention of stealing.

Also arrested was citizen RK, 51 years old, resident of Tirana. He is suspected of having committed two violent robberies against passengers transported by taxi in the areas of Shënvlash and Rinas, in collaboration with citizen TM (arrested the day before as part of the "Taximetri" operation).

Investigations and analysis of video footage have documented that RK served as a transporter, while TM committed robberies against taxi drivers in various cities, including Tirana, Kruja, and Durrës.

During the search of his apartment and garage, material evidence linking him to these events was seized.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
