KAS "saves" Manastirliu, fines the mayor of Lushnja and subordinates

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission has given today the decision for a denunciation, regarding the administrative violations committed in the local by-elections of March 6, after on February 16, 2022 the premises of the Lushnja hospital were used for election campaign within working hours.

KAS has fined with one million old lekë the mayor of Lushnja, Eriselda Sefa, with 250 thousand old lekë the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Geraldina Prodani, and with 25 thousand old lekë the director of the hospital of Lushnja, Perin Vogli.

KAS has decided to terminate the criminal proceedings against the Socialist Party and the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu.

Notice:

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission reviewed the request of the State Election Commissioner for imposing an administrative sanction on the candidate for mayor and at the same time mayor of Lushnja, Mrs. Eriselda Sefa in the amount of 50,000 (fifty thousand) ALL.

At the end of the review, KAS decided to partially accept the request no. 1, dated 23.05.2022 of the SEC and the imposition of an administrative sanction based on point 1 of article 172 of the Electoral Code in the amount of 100000 (one hundred thousand) ALL.

Also, based on point 1 of article 171 of the Electoral Code, KAS imposed an administrative sanction on the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Mrs. Gelardina Prodani in the amount of 25000 (twenty five thousand) ALL and based on point 2 of article 171 of the Electoral Code imposed an administrative sanction on the Director of the Hospital Ïhsan Çabej ”Lushnje, Mr. Perin Vogli in the amount of 2500 (two thousand five hundred) ALL.

KAS decided to terminate the administrative proceedings against the electoral subject "Socialist Party of Albania" and against the Minister of Health and Social Protection. Zj. Ogerta Manastirliu.
