58-year-old Gramoz Grymshi, who had been away from home for two days and had been reported missing by his family, was found dead inside a cave in the village of Drizë, in the municipality of Kuçova.

According to preliminary information, the family had sought police assistance after he left the apartment and never returned. They reported that the 58-year-old had been experiencing mental health problems for several months.

Following information received from local residents who had seen him enter the cave, police forces focused their search on that area. After several hours of searching, Gramoz Grymshi's lifeless body was found inside the cave.

A preliminary examination found no signs of violence on the victim's body. It is suspected that he died as a result of a lack of oxygen in the closed environment of the cave.

The body of the 58-year-old man has been transported to the Berat Regional Hospital Morgue, where he will undergo a forensic autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The police are continuing procedural actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
