Race for key positions in the State Police, 9 candidates revealed, Nallbat leaves

After the opening of the competition by Police Chief Skënder Hita for the leaders of the three important departments in the State Police, the names of nine applicants have emerged.

With the mandatory managerial rank, the competition includes the Criminal Police, International Relations, and Border and Migration departments. 

The list of applicants includes well-known names in the blues such as the current Director of International Relations, Senior Manager Pëllumb Seferi.

Also applying are the officer with a long career in the police, Lorenc Panganika, the current director of the Border, Saimir Muça, Artan Barjaktari, Idajet Faskaj, Lutfi Minxhozi, Ferdinand Mara, Hergis Jica and the current director of Operations, Alban Dautaj.

Meanwhile, the current head of the Criminal Police Department, who is considered the number two in the Police, Neritan Nallbati, has not applied, confirming his departure.

He headed the Criminal Police department since August 1, 2022.

The Criminal Investigation Department, which constitutes one of the most important departments in the Police, is expected to be led by a new name, with the most potential candidates being Lorenc Panganika and Alban Dautaj, both officers with long careers in the police.

Meanwhile, after the applications are completed, the competition will begin, where at the end the candidates will be scored, where the three best will be declared winners and then Police Chief Hita will decide on the names for each department, which he will then propose to Minister Lamallari, who is the last to sign./A2cnn
