State Police Director Ilir Proda

State Police Director Ilir Proda, on the first day of work yesterday, appointed Anisa Duçkollari, the wife of Police Martyr Saimir Duçkollari, as Director of Human Resources in the General Directorate of State Police.

Anisa held the position of Head of Sector in this directorate and replaced Zef Laska who has reached retirement age. It is the first time that a female police officer has been appointed to such an important post. Anisa Duçkollari holds the rank of Manager.

It is the first time that such an appointment has been made, as family members of the martyrs have generally been in basic roles.

Police officer Saimir Duçkollari lost his life in the line of duty in 2009 in the action to arrest Dritan Dajti near the "Iliria" beach in Durrës. During the failed operation, 3 other police officers were killed, Fatos Xhani, Sajmir Feskaj and Altin Dizdari.
