He set fire to the "Aliko" furniture store in Vlora, 37-year-old Bledar Balliu is arrested

A 37-year-old man in Vlora who was wanted has been arrested by the police. Bledar Balliu was wanted for the arson attack on the 'Aliko' furniture store in the "28 Nëntori" neighborhood.

On January 13, the Vlora court had set the security measure "prison arrest" for Balliu.

In the security camera footage from November 2025, the 37-year-old was seen approaching the furniture store, breaking the glass door with a hammer, emptying a can of gasoline and setting the first floor on fire. He then quickly left the scene.

The flames were noticed by a neighbor, who immediately notified the business owner, Eduart Aliko. The latter said that "there were no conflicts," while the material damages amounted to 3 million new lek.
