How does the war in the Middle East affect Albanians?

With each passing day of the armed conflict in the Middle East, the areas of influence that directly affect Albanian citizens expand.

Starting from the possible increase in fuel prices, which are already very high.

Regarding flights, it is currently not possible to travel from our country to Tel Aviv and Dubai, which has suspended reservations that Albanians had planned to these countries.

" In terms of destinations that have felt the impact of the war the most, it is the United Arab Emirates, practically Dubai. Out of 1000-1200 reservations and tickets sold, about 250 have been suspended for the months of March-April-May."

"Some have made final cancellations for this destination, tourists who visit for tourism, while people who are residents, since Dubai is also one of the destinations that has Albanian residents, have been forced to continue with their plans, there have simply been postponements of flight dates ," says Behare Sinanaj, a tour operator.

The hesitations are related to the uncertainty about how long the attacks will continue, and for this reason, tourist destinations in the Middle East region are currently no longer at the top of the vacation list of Albanians, who are now considering other options.

" Bookings for other destinations have not been canceled and are continuing as normal ," she adds.

The situation remains under constant monitoring as tensions have escalated in the Middle East region, and as a result, the possibility of expanding the list of affected destinations cannot be ruled out.
