The cause of the burning of the police officer's vehicle in Lezhë by two young men, Klaudio Gjokhilaj and Klaudio Kovaçi, is clarified.

The police say that they burned the policeman's car because of their duty, but without giving details about the conflict they had.

Police Notification:

Following the investigations, the investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, based on the evidence provided, documented with legal evidence the intentional burning of the vehicle.

Lezha police identified, captured and arrested the two suspected perpetrators of the incident.

From the investigations, it is suspected that the burning of the vehicle was done because of the duty.

The investigative structures of the Lezhë Police Station under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office continued in-depth investigations to clarify the cause of the fire involving the vehicle of citizen RZ, an officer of the General Patrol, service corps, at the Lezhë Police Station.

As a result of the investigations and evidence provided during the investigation within the coded police operation "Reaction", by the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Lezhë Police Station, based on the police intelligence, it became possible to identify and arrest the citizens in flagrante delicto:

– K. Gj., 24 years old and KK, 22 years old, both residents of Lezhë. 

These citizens, in cooperation with each other, this morning, it is suspected that because of their duty, they burned the vehicle of the citizen RZ, on duty as an officer of the General Patrol, service corps at the Lezhë Police Station.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë for further actions for the criminal offenses "Intimidation due to duty committed in cooperation" and "Destruction of property by fire".
