A 20-year-old man from Pogradec has lost his driving license and received a hefty fine of 750,000 old leks, as he wanted to earn a few more clicks on TikTok.

The young man was filmed standing on top of his car while on foot and without a driver.

The desire to become famous on the social networks where the video was posted has led the police to identify him and punish him with a fine and suspension of his driver's license.

Police Notification:

He carried out dangerous maneuvers and obstructed traffic in a residential area, the Traffic Police services identify and punish the driver of the vehicle with an administrative measure of 75,000 lek, as well as revoke his driving license.  

Immediately after the publication of a video on the "JOQ" portal, in which a driver is shown, who performed dangerous maneuvers in a residential area, becoming a danger to himself and other road users, the services of the Traffic Police Korçë organized checks in order to identify and punish him.

The verifications showed that the driver of the vehicle, citizen MM, 20 years old, resident of Pogradec, got on the cab of the vehicle, performed dangerous maneuvers and obstructed traffic in a residential area, while the maneuvers with the steering wheel were performed by the passenger.          

For the misdemeanors committed, specifically for violation of articles 126, 139 and 170 of the Highway Code, the citizen MM was punished with an administrative measure of 75,000 ALL. Also, the 20-year-old's driver's license was revoked.     

The Korçë Local Police Directorate appeals to all road users to respect the traffic rules, in order to protect life and guarantee road safety.
