The Special Court decided today, March 17, to put seven of the defendants in the "Revanshi" case on trial. These are well-known names in the criminal world such as Durim Bami, Aldo Avdyli, Marklen Haka, Jozi Kraja, Altin Morina, Enerigert Mitri and Edson Jozwik.
All seven of them have been arrested, and it is learned that they have been separated from 20 other people involved in this case, but who are still wanted.
Durim Bami, one of the most talked about characters in the underworld, is accused of "providing conditions for murder" against Arben Ndoka, Tori Xheçukës and Erigers Mihas.
He was extradited from Dubai to Albania in February of this year.
On the other hand, Marklen Haka is accused of "attempted murder" and "providing conditions for murder" against Durim Bami and also "providing conditions for murder" against Tori Xheçuka and Erigers Mihas.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime closed the investigations into the "Revanshi" file on January 31 of this year. The investigations revealed 12 criminal events that occurred, were prepared or failed during 2020.
They targeted seven criminal groups operating in several cities such as Lezha, Durrës, Kruja, Tirana, Vlora and Burreli. In total, 50 arrest warrants were issued and almost half of them were executed domestically and abroad, while several others were arrested on other charges.
Sky communications, interwoven by investigators with details of archived files without authors, showed how reasons for revenge and clashes between criminal groups had led underworld figures to organize assassinations and murders in the country.
