Another important detail comes to light from the investigation into the murder of Portuguese tourist Luis Miguel Varela Mendes in Ksamil.

Sources connected to the investigation indicate that the knife suspected of being used during the clash between Sokrat Vata and the 20-year-old Portuguese, an event that ended with the tourist's death, has been found and seized.

According to the dynamics revealed so far, the conflict began inside the "Principote" complex and then continued outside the premises. Vata, who was a security guard at the complex, is suspected of stabbing the Portuguese tourist, while another person is suspected of punching the victim.

The discovery of the cold weapon is expected to be of particular importance to the investigative group, as it will undergo forensic examinations to determine whether it matches the wounds inflicted on the victim and to identify possible biological or other material traces.

Sokrat Vata was arrested on August 18 in Levan, Fier, while hiding in the trunk of a vehicle, and the Court of Saranda has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on him.

Vata has given another version of the incident, claiming that the knife belonged to the Portuguese tourist and that he had taken it from his hand before hitting him.
