Suspicions about the disappearance of Eglant Koçi, Armand Shakaj used a cart to transport the car to Iba. Traces of gunpowder found inside the office

Armand Shakaj, wanted as a suspected perpetrator for the disappearance of his close friend, Eglant Koçi, is suspected of having used a cart to transport his vehicle, inside which it is believed the 34-year-old's body was located, towards the Iba area.

According to investigators, this maneuver was carried out to avoid routine police checks and to avoid arousing suspicion during the movement of the vehicle. The incident is suspected to have occurred on June 6. Verifications of security cameras show that Koç's body may have been kept in the vehicle for about a day and a half, as his last contact with his family dates back to June 4.

Police have identified and questioned the driver of the trolleybus.

According to his testimony, Shakaj's vehicle was transported to a service station in the Iba area, after the latter had told him that the car had a defect. The witness stated that after handing over the vehicle, he left and had no idea what might be inside it.

Meanwhile, in the office premises where Eglant Koçi is suspected of being held, experts have found traces of gunpowder residue. The investigation team is awaiting the results of the laboratory expertise, which is expected to shed more light on the circumstances of the incident.

For several days, the police have been conducting intensive searches in two main directions, finding the body of Eglant Koç in the areas around Tirana, Elbasan and Librazhd, as well as locating and arresting Armand Shakaj, who remains on the run.

Reliable sources indicate that the 41-year-old has changed at least six phone numbers in recent days, in a continued effort to avoid being located by law enforcement.
