The suspected head of the criminal group in Elbasan, Suel Çela, is accused by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of being involved in at least two episodes of cocaine trafficking from Latin America to European ports.
In the first episode, Suel Çela collaborated with businessman Bujar Shega, one of the main financiers of the amount of 930 kg of cocaine that was seized in the Port of Ecuador, as part of the "Boya Roja" operation.
According to the investigation file, when the container arrived empty at the port, Suel Çela asked the businessman Bujar Shega to investigate, while the latter replied that he would go to the end and asked for the documents and security cameras of the Port.
Following the conversation, Çela informs Bujar Shega that if there was betrayal by the person who had taken over the removal of drugs from the Port, then he should pay with his head.
While in the second episode, Suel Çela collaborates with Ergys Dashi, the latter executed in Ecuador later, and Ervin Matë.
The load of 446 kg of cocaine that the group started from Ecuador to the Netherlands was seized in the Port of Rotterdam during the police action on January 5, 2021. Ergys Dashi informed Suel Çela at that time about the seizure of drugs by the agencies, stating that he was experiencing difficulties in finding documents to prove this.
In this episode, it turns out that Ghino Roka, who carried out money transfers from the EU to South American countries, was involved.
Ergys Dashi is described by the investigators as a central figure in narco-trafficking, with strong connections in Ecuador, but who sought an alliance with Suel Çela to guarantee the release of quantities of cocaine in European ports.
If it were to be realized, Ergys Dashi guaranteed Suel Çela that he could start up to 10 tons of cocaine. According to the file, in every case the loads started from 300 kg and above, since in this way they also had financial opportunities to bribe the officials.
Ergys Dashi was the first to realize that they had been betrayed by the SkyEcc phones, as he had also expressed this concern to Suel Cela. And it is precisely SkyEcc's communications that have helped SPAK to orientate towards evidence and uncover the criminal activity of Suel Cela's organization.
