The XUEX pyramid scheme has affected hundreds of citizens in the cities of Divjaka, Lushnja and the surrounding areas, deceiving them with dizzying promises of monetary gain.
According to details revealed from the investigative file, more details have been revealed about the operation of this platform and the people involved in its distribution.
The scheme appears to have involved individuals from various levels of society, including local administration employees and ordinary citizens, who were manipulated into investing in the fraudulent platform.
Investigations have shown that Ereledio Sh., a citizen from Divjaka, is one of the individuals involved in organizing this suspicious activity. He has created a group on the “Telegram” application to recruit participants to the XUEX platform. This group includes five individuals, who have invested monetary amounts ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 dollars.
According to the investigation, the person in question receives instructions from a person named “Leo Smith”, suspected to be a British citizen, who invites participants to perform certain activities, such as “liking” specific pages every day at 14:20 and 19:20. Each such action brings them a 1% profit of their investment every day.
Participants, in addition to earning from this activity, can withdraw their investments through bank accounts and other platforms such as Binance. In this way, they are helped to transfer the profits generated by XUEX to second-tier bank accounts in Albania.
In the town of Divjaka and surrounding villages, around 580 people have registered to have invested on this platform. The amounts invested range from $1,000 to $5,000, and their profits are withdrawn every 45 days.
Investigators have discovered that various individuals, including family members of the 35-year-old and employees of the Divjaka Municipality, have invested in this fraudulent scheme.
To find out more about this scheme and to obtain further evidence, simulated actions were carried out by police agents. On August 30, 2025, agents with codes 27/12 and 45 met with citizen Ereledio Sh. at the “Panorama” bar in Divjaka, where he registered them on the Binance platform and asked them to find another person to add them to Telegram groups.
This action came after his concern, who, due to the media coverage of the case by MP Erion Braçe, was under tension and fear, according to the file.
In this case, the 35-year-old deposited 700 euros into his Binance platform account and said that he could not register more people, as he had reached the limit of five individuals he could register. For this reason, he suggested that another individual join the groups on the Telegram application. /BalkanWeb
