Partizani-Tirana derby, several roads and squares in the capital are blocked

This Friday at 19:00 at the 'Air Albania' stadium in the capital, the derby between Partizan and Tirana will be played, valid for the sixth round of the Super League. Tirana Police have also announced the plan of measures for this match.

Full police statement:

Tirana Police has taken all measures to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the football match between the teams "KF Tirana" and "Partizani", which will take place today, at 19:00, at the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium.

The road segments that will be blocked, from 5:00 PM until the end of the activity, are "Mother Teresa" Square, "Lekë Dukagjini" Street, "Dervish Hima" Street and the areas around the "Air Albania" Stadium.

The fan routes will be as follows:

– The movement of Tirana fans will be: Starting in front of the “Puppet Theater”, “George Bush” street, “Elbasani” street, the US Embassy, ​​returning to “Dervish Hima” street, returning to “Sheh Ahmet Pazari” street and heading to the “S” stand of the stadium;

– The movement of Partizan fans will be: from the intersection of “Muhamet Gjollesha” street, “Vasil Shanto” bridge, the intersection of “Komuna e Parisit” street, “Sulejman Delvina” street, Libri Univeristar, Presidenza straight to COIN and then head to the entrances to the N and E stands of the stadium.

The police will guarantee and ensure the movement of fans along designated routes and will not allow fans to gather or pass outside the designated route.

In accordance with the plan of measures, rigorous checks will be carried out on fans before entering the stadium for illegal items (hard objects, water bottles, umbrellas, metal keys or pyrotechnics, etc.). Each fan must be equipped with an identification document.

Citizens without identification documents will not be allowed to enter the stadium, and children under the age of 16, even if they may have tickets, will not be allowed without the presence of a parent or guardian (accompanied by a document).

All fans who have been identified by the Police as problematic fans at various sporting events will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

Tirana Police requests the understanding of the respective fan clubs for the implementation of the above measures, as well as the understanding of citizens to avoid driving on the aforementioned road segments during the specified times.
