The father of Andi Maloku , who was a victim in the assassination attempt on former prosecutor Arjan Ndoji at the Shkozet overpass on November 1, 2019, has clashed with one of the defendants, Plarent Dervishaj, at the GJKKO.

Genc Maloku stated that it was Aleksandër Laho, known as Rrumi i Shijakut, who was in the car with prosecutor Arjan Ndoji when the assassination occurred, who told him that Plarent Dervishaj was behind the murder.

"'Rrumi' was the first to tell me, after he left the hospital, that 'Plarent Dervishaj ordered it'. There was no motive with my son, there was no reason to shoot him, we know who the motive was," he declared before the black squads.

During the victim's father's speech, Plarent Dervishaj also intervened and said: "I feel sorry for the boy, I feel sorry for Arjan Ndoja, they were the most innocent in that assassination."

His statement brought a response from Genc Maloku, where the latter said, "I'm sorry for the boy, but why did you want to kill me?"

"Let's meet face to face," Plarent Dervishaj replied, causing a clash between them.

After the heated debate in the courtroom between Plarent Dervishaj and the witness, Genc Maloku  was escorted out of the courtroom.

Excerpts from the testimony at the hearing:

Genc Maloku: He was not an official driver. He served for a month or so. He didn't even get a second salary. He didn't cause me any concern, I was in Italy 3-4 days after the incident. My son was hanging out with boys his age. With Pëllumb Muharremi and Vullnet Muça, I don't believe he stayed with them. My son grew up in Tirana. Not with Arben Mërkur. Not at all.

"Rrumi" was the first to tell me, after he left the hospital, that "Plarent Dervishaj ordered it." He had no motive for my son. There was no reason to shoot him.

I know who the motive was. Not even Rrumi, no one interests me. My 23-year-old son has disappeared. Can you give me my son back? Give me my son back?! Of course my son was not the target.

Ilia Ilia: Clearly, the honorable Rrumi was the target. As we claim

Plarent Dervishaj: I feel sorry for the boy. I also feel sorry for Arjan Ndoja, they were the most innocent in that assassination.

When Rrumi mentioned my name to you, why do you think he mentioned it?

Genc Maloku: I don't know where he came from, he told me at first. But then, he told me your name. But without motive.

Lawyer: Halit Valter, how do you know him?

Genc Maloku: I saw him in parliament. He was the most active. I contacted him through people. The USB was brought to my door in an envelope, I declared it to the prosecutor's office. I destroyed the USB.

Genc Maloku: Wednesday, he had the nickname, "Maneci". I received a message, "How often does he go to the prosecutor's office, he told me I'm Plarent Dervishaj". It's a fact, I reported him to police station no. 6.

Genc Maloku-Plarent Dervishajt: Well, I feel sorry for the boy, but why did you want to kill me? I don't understand, we didn't do anything to you.
