Police in  Elbasan  have arrested 2 people after, while masked and under threat of a firearm, they forcibly stole the daily turnover of a gas station.

The Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Property, in cooperation with the Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes , the Librazhd Police Commissariat and the "Eagle" Special Force, finalized the police operation codenamed " Shadows ".

As part of this operation, a few minutes after the incident, it was possible to identify, capture and handcuff two suspected perpetrators: Denis Isallari, 23 years old, and Denajd Sterka , 19 years old, both residents of Elbasan.

The police seized the item used for intimidation, the masks, other clothing used by the perpetrators, the stolen money, the vehicle with covered license plates that they used, as well as the cell phones used by these individuals.

Police announcement:

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that on 15.09.2025, at around 23:00, citizens DS and DI, who were driving a vehicle with covered license plates, went to the gas station at the entrance to Librazhd.

Masked and armed with a firearm-like object, they threatened the subject's employee, took his daily salary, and quickly left.

After leaving the scene, in order to hide their perpetrators, they threw the item used for the threat, their masks and clothing, into the bushes of the village of Mirakë. During the operation, the Police services made it possible to find these items, which were seized as material evidence, along with the stolen money, mobile phones and the vehicle of the arrested citizens.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for the criminal offenses of "Armed Robbery", committed in collaboration, and "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition".
