An Albanian has been arrested by Greek police in Ioannina after being caught transporting a large amount of cannabis.

He was charged with drug trafficking, dangerous driving, forgery and violation of the law regarding foreigners.

Specifically, police officers stopped a car in an area of ??Ioannina and attempted to search it.

The driver, in order to escape police control, disobeyed police signals and accelerated, while performing dangerous maneuvers, driving several times in the opposite direction of traffic.

The police, after following the car, managed to stop it a short time later and arrested the driver, while inside the vehicle, 28 packages of raw cannabis were found and seized, with a total weight of 167 kilograms and 200 grams.

It was also discovered that the vehicle, which was seized, had forged license plates.
