After the transfer of Durim Bami from Fushë-Krujë prison to Peqin prison, prison security has once again received attention.

Journalist Aida Topalli has revealed on Albania Live that an attempt was made to execute a well-known criminal in a high-security prison.

She said the murder was going to be carried out by two other prisoners, but the event was prevented.

"There was recently an attempted murder inside a high-security prison. I am not giving any more information."
