Saranda police have solved the knife attack and arrested the suspected perpetrator,  Ylber Hamzaj , 45, from Kryemadhi, Kukës.

He is suspected of injuring 42-year-old  Olsi Muçodemi with a cutting tool , an event that occurred on Wednesday morning.

According to the investigation, it was a momentary conflict over the banal reason of 'why are you looking at me', which then escalated to the use of a cutting tool. 

Hamzaj struck Muçodem with a cutting tool, causing wounds to his chest and hand, and then fled the scene with the intention of evading authorities.

The police managed to identify and locate the perpetrator through security cameras near the scene of the incident. He was caught in the area of ​​Qafë të Gjashtës, while intoxicated. Police sources indicate that Hamzaj was only in Saranda for a few days for work.

Meanwhile, investigations to fully uncover the incident and its motives continue.
