Inter's new signing Petar Sučić made an impressive Serie A debut, registering an assist in the Nerazzurri's convincing 5-0 win over Torino.
The 21-year-old joined Inter this summer from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
In an interview for the club's "On Board" series, Sučić reflected on his humble beginnings, revealing how he spent his childhood on the family farm.
"I grew up in Bugojno, a small village (in Bosnia and Herzegovina), with my family. We have a small farm, my father likes to raise cows, so we have a few of them. When I was a child, I sometimes helped milk them," Sučić initially said.
"It was fun. I liked that lifestyle, I think I had a happy childhood. I was very happy, I spent all day outside. We had other animals too. That's a part of my life that I will always remember."
Unlike most of his colleagues, Sučić is also notable for not using social media. In this era when off-field presence is often as important as on-field presence, his decision is unusual and he explained why he made this decision.
"There's no particular reason. I just don't like wasting time on social media. They're certainly useful, but you can waste up to five hours a day using them. I much prefer living a real life."
"We are always in the spotlight and surrounded by the attention of the media and journalists. After a match or training session I need to relax, turn off my brain and spend time with friends and family, that's the main reason why I'm not on social media ," the Croatian midfielder concluded.
