Albanian football has lost another well-known figure.
Bujar Tafaj, the former goalkeeper of Tirana and a respected name of the '60s–'70s, has passed away at the age of 81.
Tafaj was part of one of the most prominent generations of the blue and whites, with whom he won the title of champion of Albania three times, being noted for his valuable contribution to the club's successes. In addition to Tirana, he has also defended the colors of Pogradec, leaving a mark outside the capital.
With the death of Bujar Tafaj, another figure who has left a mark on the history of Albanian football has disappeared, remaining in the memory of sports fans as one of the outstanding goalkeepers of the second half of the last century.
