The final week of the German football championship has determined the final verdicts in terms of trophies, European zone and survival.

Bayern Munich, who had secured the championship title a few weeks earlier under the leadership of Vincent Kompany, ended the season with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Koln at the Allianz Arena.

With a total of 122 goals in the Bundesliga, the Bavarian team also set a new European record! This record was previously held by Real Madrid (121 goals in the 2011-2012 season). Bayern Munich thus becomes the European record holder for goals scored in a single season in the championship.

After this latest success, the Bavarians finished their journey with 89 points accumulated.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund also managed to get a positive result, triumphing on the road with a score of 0-2 against Werder Bremen.

Despite the 4-1 defeat against Freiburg in the final week, Leipzig managed to maintain third place in the standings.

This positioning guarantees this team participation in the Champions League. Stuttgart will also play in the most important European club competition, after a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.

As for the Europa League, Germany will be represented by Hoffenheim, who were defeated 4-0 by Borussia Monchengladbach, and Leverkusen, who drew 1-1 with Hamburg.

Meanwhile, the decisive victory in the last match sends the Freiburg team to the Conference League for the next edition.

At the bottom of the table, St Pauli and Heidenheim failed to survive and were officially relegated to Bundesliga 2. On the other hand, Wolfsburg will have one last chance to stay in the elite through the play-out phase.
