Manchester United don't shine, but get three continuity points

Without much brilliance on the pitch and fought until the final seconds, Manchester United secured three points of great value, which besides climbing the rankings also give the security of continuity.

The Red Devils won at least 0-1 on Southampton's difficult pitch.

The hero of the match was midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese scored the only goal of the match in the 55th minute.

Ronaldo started it again from the bench, only to be activated in the 70th minute instead of Sancho. There were also 10 minutes of play for Casemiron, United's most important acquisition this season for the midfield, which manager Ten Hag hopes will restore the balance lacking last season.

It was Manchester United's second consecutive win in four games for the season. Last week, the Devils defeated Liverpool at the home of the latter, while in their first two games they lost.
