Liverpool sack Arne Slott, here's who will be the new coach
Arne Slot

Liverpool have announced the departure of Arne Slott after two seasons in charge. The club described the decision as a mutual agreement, although English media are reporting it as a dismissal.

The Dutch coach leaves after winning the 20th English championship title in his first season, but the last edition ended with fifth place in the Premier League.

According to the club, Liverpool are aiming for a more aggressive and attacking style of play for the future.

Arne Slot took over the team in 2024, succeeding Jurgen Klopp after the German's nine years at Anfield.

Meanwhile, the main candidate for the Liverpool bench is considered Andoni Iraola, who recently left Bournemouth.

The Spanish coach's name was also linked with Milan, Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen, but now Liverpool seems the most likely destination.
