The head of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, told the media that he offered the national team to coach Besnik Hasi several years ago, but the latter withdrew after being offered Anderlecht in Belgium.

"Albanian coach for the national team? I have actually offered at least once, which was Besnik Hasi. At the last moment when we were finalizing the contract, Besnik withdrew because Anderlecht requested it. I have definitely thought about it and I definitely think about it. First, I offered it to the current coach if he wants to continue, then there are the conditions if the parties are satisfied. This will happen before the June matches come," said Duka.
