Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha made a statement after the results of the elections in the Municipality of Rrogozhina, which were won by the socialist candidate, Edison Memolla.

Berisha said that the "institutions of the electoral farce" stole the mandate won by the candidate of "Bashke Fitomje", Shkëlqim Hoxha.

Berisha said that behind what he calls an electoral farce is the "unprecedented terror" perpetrated against the citizens. For this he accused the political leader of SP-for Tirana, the mayor Erion Veliaj.

"In yesterday's result lies an unprecedented terror exercised for a month in a row against the citizens, against the businessmen, against the voters of Rrogozhina. A terror of all forms, fiscal, physical, etc. In the electoral farce, open manipulations, pre-prepared ballots, photographing of ballots in the voting center, group voting, family voting, all ugly forms were found. This whole farce was directed by Erion Veliaj", said Berisha.
