Lulzim Basha has also followed up with meetings with sympathizers in the framework of the elections for DP president on July 29.

During the conversation with some supporters, Basha said that it is necessary for Albanian politicians to submit to the vetting of politicians. He said that those who have nothing to hide have nothing to fear.

"Today Albania needs a vital cleansing of politics, its division with crime and the removal from the system of corrupt politicians.

Vetting of politicians is also the way to eradicate the pattern of mudslinging, by showing with facts who is corrupt and who is not, who is hostage and who is not, who is linked to crime and who is not, who defends the interests of oligarchs and who is not" said Basha.

At the end of his speech, Basha warned a comprehensive coalition of the DP to achieve the goals he put forth.
