On Friday, Petrit Vasili was called to SPAK where he was asked about the lobbying done by LSI (today PL) in the USA.

Asked about this development, Ilir Meta, head of PL, stated in "This Week" with Nisida Tufa that how long he has been in charge of LSI, he has never broken the law.

"As far as Meta is concerned, SPAK can do whatever investigation it wants, take letters not to America but also to the Moon, and make it clear that Meta and PL only apply the laws of Albania, America and any country. You can be sure that nothing has been illegal, at least during the time that I have been in charge, because I cannot take responsibility for the time that I have not been in charge, absolutely nothing', he declared among other things.

You have spoken about justice with direction, but while there are also rumors that SPAK has started work at an even faster pace, it is said that it will also hit the right. We take into account the fact that Mr. Vasili was called to SPAK on Friday, you were also there a while ago... How do you comment on these rumors?

SPAK is the product of a justice reform destroyed in the first steps of its implementation by Rama. This is undoubtedly reflected in the whole way SPAK or the Constitutional Court was created, choosing Arta Marku in an unconstitutional manner. As we know how the majority intervened through the laws, it turns out that today a deputy of the majority has 4 family members in a prosecutor's office.

They called Vasili, they call dozens, but this is no longer a concern for Meta or for PL, our only concern is why the incinerator payments are not stopped? Why are the facts that there are no incinerators verified? Why are other facts not verified? This is the problem. As for Vasili, the lobbying, the activities of the former LSI, they can do whatever they want, based on any kind of information...

Are you open to any inquiry or call to SPAK?

This is not a question for me, my answer is that those who think that they will displace Rama's responsibilities for this regime that he has created in Albania, forcing the EU to impose sanctions such as the one on the AZHBR fund, in fairy tales, not Meta, not this one, not that one.

As for Meta and PL, SPAK can do whatever investigation they want, take letters of order not to America but also to the Moon, and it should be clear that Meta and PL apply only the laws of Albania, America and every democratic country. And Albania and America have extradition agreements, and at any moment they can meet any extradition request.

Rest assured that nothing has been illegal, at least in the time that I have been in charge, because I cannot assume for the time that I have not been in charge, absolutely nothing. These are games, manipulations of a media character that are done to divert attention from the fact that the Tirana incinerator payments continue. The whole affair is designed and for the benefit of Edi Rama. It is destroying the rule of law, destroying finances...
