President Bajram Begaj has reacted after Syria's official recognition of Kosovo's independence.
The news was announced by the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who said that the decision was reached with the mediation of Saudi Arabia.
Begaj welcomes this decision and says that Syria chose to support peace and stability in the Balkans.
Begaj's message:
The Syrian Arab Republic officially recognized today the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.
With this decision, Syria supported the state of Kosovo and peace and stability in the Balkans.
