The vote recount process for the Tirana District continued this Tuesday, at the "Farie Hoti" sports palace.
So far, according to the official CEC website, about 720 ballot boxes have been opened, or in other words, about 60 percent of the total ballot boxes that are to be recounted in this electoral zone.
From the recount so far, it results that the DP has lost over 360 votes, the SP nearly 260, while other political forces have fewer vote movements.
There is also movement of votes between candidates within parties. Ilir Alimehmeti of the Democratic Party has so far 88 votes without merit. Jorida Tabaku has 69 votes without merit, but does not break the difference she has with Alimehmeti, thus diminishing the latter's hopes that he could enter the Assembly with the recount of votes. Ilir Meta also has 57 votes without merit.
In the SP, the highest number of votes without merit is for Minister Ervin Hoxha with 264 votes, followed by Xhemal Qefalia with 131, Fatmir Xhafaj with 135, and Braçe with 136 votes. These votes were deducted from the result of the first count.
What stands out so far is the narrowing of the difference to only 92 votes between Olta Xhaçka and Blerina Gjylameti.
According to CEC data, Xhaçka lost 47 votes in the recount, while Gjylameti gained 1 vote.
