Prime Minister Edi Rama has called the Democratic Party, the largest opposition force in the country, "a scoundrel."

During his speech at a meeting with socialist ministers and MPs, Rama did not spare irony but also labels for the DP.

"The DP was born as the party of Albanian youth, and today it has become the puppet of a hopeless 80-year-old, non-grata with the stamp and non-grata with the vote, it is neither our choice nor our problem to solve."

"We had to deal with that magnificent mess in recent months, but now let's leave them in the mud they've been floundering in for 12 years and will continue to sink deeper and deeper. We shouldn't waste energy on them, except for the taxi to confront their parallel universe within the walls of parliament, because there's nothing we can do there," Rama said, among other things.
