The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has reacted to news that the Democratic Party will request a recount in the hope of obtaining another mandate in Tirana.

This is about the second mandate of Opportunity, which, by a very small margin of votes, lost to the DP candidate, Ilir Alimehmeti.

Shehaj says this is an attempted "robbery" and according to him it will not happen.

Shehaj's message:

Two mandates. Two votes of confidence. Honest. Unquestionable. And no one will take them away. No one.

What they are trying to do is a robbery. Another desperate attempt by the old parties that don't want to change.

You can't shout about an election farce, and then steal a mandate on the table. That's hypocrisy. And it won't happen!

We've said it before and we'll say it again: your votes are not affected. Every vote for the Opportunity Party is a vote for change, and it will not be affected, it will not be alienated, it will not be stolen.
