Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Elbasan this Friday , where he spoke about the transformation of the Metallurgical Park from an industrial heritage into a green space.

On this occasion, he had a discussion with entrepreneurs from this city and, in a conversation with one of them, Rama stated that he does not make electoral promises since he has won the elections.

Rama said that only those who want to win the elections make promises.

"We won the elections, I didn't come here for an electoral campaign. Listen here, electoral promises are made by those who want to win the elections. We won the elections, that's why we don't make electoral promises," Rama told the entrepreneur from Elbasan.

Focusing on the Metallurgical Park, Rama said that it has extraordinary potential, and to transform it, an 'alliance' must be created with all the businesses present, not only to stimulate their expansion, but also to build a new concept in this territory.

The head of government said that the Park, together with the Auto Moto Park, will be a point that will unite Tirana with Elbasan.

"In transforming the combine, or more precisely the territory of the metallurgical combine, into a national industrial park, we have an extraordinary potential. For this, we want to rely on an alliance with all the businesses present, not only to stimulate your expansion, but also to create a new concept for the administration of daily life in this territory, which is centered in Elbasan. We have engaged a considerable number of architects, foreign and local, to determine the direction of the master plan. This territory is large and offers opportunities to imagine many projects. The main idea is for this park to become a destination for everyone, integrating with the automotorpark, which will connect Tirana and Elbasan, making Elbasan part of the metropolis of Albania in the coming decades. The distance to get here will be as short, or even shorter, than the distance it takes to get from one side of Tirana to the other. "This project has the potential to open up the capital and bring new energy, by connecting these two important points, the Combine Park and the Automotorpark," said Rama.
