Rama comments on the news about Ivanka Trump's "visit" to Vlora:

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a conversation with tourism operators in Vlora, stated that the coastal city has extraordinary potential.

Rama said that Vlora has the potential to become like those places in Portugal, Spain or Turkey, where foreigners live.

The prime minister also made light of the news about Ivanka Trump's visit to southern Albania, saying that "they act like she comes every two months," adding that in the future she will come, but we are not at that stage yet.

"I want for this city that what we have sown we reap not just in one season. The point is that the investments made when no one believed in tourism in Vlora require tourists. See for yourself and do it yourself, but I want guarantees for the longevity of these investments you have made."

We are developing extraordinary projects, but the question is: how many people will those strategic projects bring? Vlora has the potential to become like those places in Portugal, Spain or Turkey, where foreigners can come and live.

"Albania, in all this turmoil around, is a place where you can live safely. Yesterday I was in Dhërmi with some friends, not with Ivanka, of course, because they make it seem like she comes to Vlora every two months. She will come every two months, but we are not at that stage yet," he said.
