Prime Minister Edi Rama held the next episode of his podcast "Flasim" this Sunday, April 12th.

He highlighted some of the most important government issues discussed this week, starting with the Diaspora Summit, which will be held the following day, to continue with salaries, pensions, foreign investments, as well as a European Union report on public procurement in the country.

He initially stopped at the 4th Diaspora Summit, which will be held tomorrow, April 13, in Tirana.

For this edition, Rama said that the summit comes not only as an appreciation of all those who have contributed abroad, but also for all the friends of these emigrants who have stood by the Albanians.

" In the week that starts tomorrow, we welcome to Tirana the Diaspora Summit, the fourth edition, which once again brings together Albanians from all over the world, those who live and work abroad, but who have their eyes on Albania and, whenever they get the chance, think, communicate or visit Albania. We start on April 13 with the welcoming ceremony, where the focus will be on the people and their stories, stories of success, work and dedication, which are also stories of Albanian pride everywhere, but, at the same time, also an opening for appreciation.

"Appreciation, not only for Albanians who have achieved and contributed abroad, but also for their friends, foreign friends who have chosen to be part of the path of Albanians, have come together and have united, in a way, the wings of our eagle," he said.

The head of government emphasized that the diaspora comes as a development force for Albania and that the purpose of this summit is not only symbolic, but the unification of Albanians wherever they are.

"Today, the diaspora is a concrete force for development and it comes to this summit for the first time after a historic involvement in the country's political elections. It comes as an expanded space of Albania beyond its borders and returns to an Albanian reality in continuous transformation, more and more as a partner, as a direct partner, starting from political elections, then to the economy and, step by step, on the paths of knowledge towards new spaces of the future.

And our challenge is not only to maintain this connection at a symbolic level, but to structure an entire network of hearts that beat for Albania everywhere and minds that create added value in a collaboration that produces results for the country and not just for the Albanians themselves, wherever they are ," he said.
