The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held his next speech this Monday in front of the Council of Ministers building, where he once again delivered a harsh speech against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government.
Berisha declared that "the Albanian opposition is undefeated," emphasizing that it is standing for "the present and future of Albanians," despite political pressures and attacks against it.
The democratic leader described Albania as "the first and only narco-state in Europe," while accusing the government of relying on drug cartels, corruption, and theft of public property.
According to Berisha, Rama's regime has brought impoverishment of Albanians and an increase in the cost of living.
Berisha said that the cost of living in Albania has increased by 60 percent, like in no other country in the last 5 years.
The head of the blue headquarters says that Rama has made Albania an unlivable place, while according to him, he is "stealing billions."
"Every day, international media inform their nations with the truths that we denounce. With the truths that we defend. With the truths for which we stand up and protest. Eight international resolutions stigmatize the Tirana regime. They stigmatize a regime that impoverishes Albanians with its thefts every month. The cost of living in Albania has increased by 60 percent like in no other country in the last 5 years. How will Albanians live? It has made Albania an unlivable country, at a time when with the Baxhanak and himself they have stolen hundreds and hundreds of millions, personally he billions. But we stand. We are here sworn, undefeated in our resistance ," said Berisha.
He also touched on Albania's European integration process.
"And that apart from the geopolitical criterion, with the regime of Edi Rama it meets absolutely no other criteria, no other standard for its integration into the EU. But we support integration. But why? Because you can say why you support it. No, geopolitics is a natural force.
"We never want this country to end up in other spaces. We want this country to remain eternally in the Western space, in the European space. Therefore, we, adhering to the truth, have declared that apart from the geopolitical criterion, it does not meet any criteria, but we support the integration of Albania ," he concluded.
