Prime Minister Edi Rama has decided to stay in Himare during this annual vacation period, to enjoy one of the crystal beaches of the south, but also the fresh victory of the socialists for the municipality.
Since August 4, when the elections were held and Vangjel Tavo was declared the winner with the votes of Himariots, Edi Rama has been in the municipality of the south coast.
"With Vangjeli, the mayor of Himara, about the ongoing work, the new projects of this term and the strategic plan Himara2030 in Albania2030", writes Edi Rama and shares a photo with Tavo in one of the restaurants by the beach.
What stands out is the notepad of the new mayor, who seems to have taken on the new task entrusted to him with vigor and passion, starting from work on new projects with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The municipality of Himara has been governed for years by the Socialist Party, but in the elections of May 14, 2023, it was won by the minority Fredi Beleri, who was then arrested and convicted for buying and selling votes, which prevented him from holding office.
On August 4, early elections were held and Vangjel Tavo was declared the winner.
