"Rama failed"/ Serbian media: The initiative to overturn Dick
Edi Rama

The media of Belgrade "B92.net" has published an article about the resolution that the Parliament of Albania sent to the Council of Europe, in which the claims raised in 2011 by a resolution of the Assembly of the Council, regarding the trafficking of human organs, are considered unfounded. by the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, during the war period in 1999. Albania requests the amendment of the document approved 11 years ago.

But, according to the Serbian media, Prime Minister Edi Rama has failed in this attempt, since Tirana's initiative will only produce information that has no political weight, because it will not be a regular report.

Elvira Kovač, member of the delegation of the Serbian Assembly to the Council of Europe and vice-president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, at yesterday's session of the PSSE Bureau, told the Serbian media that when someone initiates the initiative to adopt a resolution, as Albania did, the decision it should not be to create a report. She clarifies that the PSSE Bureau approved the proposal that the Tirana initiative produce only information related to the initiative.

The attempt of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to challenge Dick Marti's report on the trafficking of human organs in the Council of Europe failed. As Elvira Kovač, member of the delegation of the Assembly of Serbia to the Council of Europe and vice-president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe said, in yesterday's session of the PSSE Bureau, it was decided to create only information about Albania's initiative. On the day the trial of former KLA leaders began before the Special Court in The Hague, on April 3, Rama announced that Albania had collected signatures in the PSSE for a new resolution, which would oppose Dik Marti's 2011 resolution Rama then said that in Marti's resolution "terrible accusations were made against the KLA for human organ trafficking without facts". Kovac emphasizes that it is not difficult to collect 20 signatures,

"Therefore, that request should have been on the agenda of the PSSE Bureau, but it can make different decisions. When someone initiates the initiative to adopt a resolution, as Albania did, the decision should not be to create a report. From it, as Tirana wanted, they demanded that their initiative be passed to the committee for legal issues, that a relator be chosen, and in the end it turned out that the "Yellow House" did not exist. This did not pass," says Kovac.

She shows that the decision that Rama's initiative did not lead to a new report of the Council of Europe to the PSSE Bureau was taken with acclamation. "The Secretariat suggested that only information about Rama's initiative be given, not a report, and everyone in the Bureau agreed with this," Kovac told Kosova Online. Kovac recalls that PSSE MPs reacted violently in October of last year, when Rama spoke at a session in Strasbourg about contesting Marti's report. "Rama was quite unpleasant and rude in his performance, he spoke against the work of KiE. The MPs revolted, as well as the former chairmen of the PSSE Legal Affairs Committee", emphasizes Kovac.
