The meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party ended after about 1 hour, where the focus of the discussions were the local elections, analysis of the polls so far and the organizational form of the campaign in the field until May 14.

After the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his conviction that they will have a result that rewards the work they have done during this time.

"I believe that we will have a very meaningful result for everyone and, above all, a result that will reward us for the work we have done, as much as it will motivate us for what we have to do. Our real opponents are the problems that every municipality has and these are the problems we have to address and solve as a country. We are in an extraordinary moment in terms of many elements because we are entering a big and strong turn in the economic plan. We are in a moment where we have started the  growth highest wages in 3 decades. We have doubled per capita income. These facts speak of an extremely important moment and to go forward. On May 14, the power of cooperation between the central and local governments is established, they definitely have another component that we cannot hide, because if they were to delete it, we would be like an ostrich when it sticks its head in the sand, on May 14, people must stay on the right side of history, which is to stand by strategic alliances." - said Rama.

Asked about whether he is putting pressure on the voters with the statement that if they vote for the opposition candidate, there will be no cooperation with those municipalities, Rama said: 

"This is not pressure, but a way to tell people that cooperation will be impossible, not because they don't want us, but these candidates were not put there to solve problems and problems, but they were put there to create oases of war political, to erect barricades with the central government and to treat the municipalities as hostages of war. We will do ours in every municipality.

I have spoken about the dolls of a couple where we have a non grata declared by the US, we have repeated calls from the US to be very careful at this point, because the choice is the Albanians'. The nature of relations with Albania is that of our allies. At the moment when an individual declared non grata and not a docudo individual bears the stamp of the undesirable person. This makes interaction difficult.

Ky nuk është presion, por një mënyrë për t’ia thënë njerëzve se do jetë i pamundur bashkëpunimi jo se nuk duan ne, por këta kandidatë nuk janë vënë aty për të zgjidhur hallet dhe problemet, por janë vënë për të krijuar oaze të luftës politike, për të ngritur barrikada me qeverinë qendrore dhe për t’i trajtuar bashkitë si pengje lufte. Ne do bëjmë tonën në cdo bashki.

Në Shkodër e kemi pasur zero bashkëpunimin jo se nuk kemi dashur, por kandidatët e këtyre forcave i përkasin një familje të shthurur politike, e cila kurrë nuk ka pasur aftësinë të drejtojë në funksion të njerëzve. Më thoni një rast që është kjo bashki, apo ajo ish komunë kur këta e kanë pasur dhe ka sjellë ndryshim?! Shkodra është e vetmja bashki ku plehrat rrinë mbi kazanë ditë të tërë dhe nuk hiqen. Është një situatë e jashtëzakonshme sepse zgjedhja është mes një forcë të madhe politike, që ka treguar vullnetin të bëjë më shumë! Të heqim këtë apendiksit të Shqipërisë që sic i thonë në shqip zorra qorre."
