Prime Minister Edi Rama today held a meeting with the citizens in Pogradec as part of the May 14 election campaign, where he introduced the socialist candidate, who is also the current mayor of Pogradec.
During his speech, Rama made an unusual statement where he called on women to help him in this electoral campaign. He said that "women can give us much more than their vote and I am convinced that they will give us". Further, an appeal was made to them: "run through the ghettos man to man, head back, key locked inside".
"On May 14, I have great faith in women. Men give us that vote thank you very much and keep playing and meeting. Women can give us much more than their vote, and I am convinced that they will. So if any of those friends or ladies, whatever you want to call them, who have backward-minded men, say to you, 'I don't have anything to do with the man because he is too right-wing', you will say to him: Well, no, tell me how I will leave the house, you will take the road, you will stand in line to vote Like gold. How? And that other one, if you don't even have it on the ballot that he has run away from the ballot. How about now, the other one ran away from the ballot, you vote to put him back in? He ran away from the ballot, didn't he? It comes around Albania under the armpit of Like gold. This is where the famous, great, legendary, democratic party came to be. In the hand of Like gold. Aman o Like take us with you! Where are we going with Lika? Where? So women understand this job well. Or not? OK. Now run through the ghettos, man to man, head back, key locked inside", Rama said.
