Arlind Qori and Adriatik Lapaj have reacted to the invitation that Sali Berisha made today to small parties to participate in the next protest that the Democratic Party is expected to organize.
Through a video message, Qori categorically rejected the invitation of the DP leader, emphasizing that the Together Movement will not be part of the protests organized by what he described as part of the old political system.
"Not yesterday, not today, not tomorrow. The Together Movement will never defile itself by being part of a corrupt political system. We are for the overthrow of the corrupt government of Edi Rama and, with it, this entire rotten, corrupt, outdated and servile system towards the oligarchy ," said Qorri.
He emphasized that the position of the Joint Movement remains unchanged and that their political battle will continue outside of alliances with traditional political forces.
While the leader of "Albania Becomes", Adriatik Lapaj, has been more diplomatic.
Asked about Berisha's invitation to sit at the table, Lapaj said that it is important for citizens to come out into the open, beyond party logos.
"What do we need the tables for? We need citizens in the square. Representatives from all organizations, a committee headquartered on the Boulevard making the decision for Rama's departure. I am ready to take a step back and be a simple citizen. I am ready to take a step back if he is forced to leave ," he said.
Lapaj also said that the goal is to quell the protest, and that they will not stop with the barbarity they are showing.
"The essence of the protest is to raise awareness among citizens for free and fair elections and to establish public discourse such as Rama's resignation as one of the corrupt people. The squares will have to be full, but I also understand the loss of hope. After all, people have seen escape as the way out ," he said.
