This is what journalist Arben Rrozhani writes, as he shares some moments of condolences for the passing of President Ilir Meta's father, Rexhep Meta, who was yesterday escorted to his final resting place in his native village, Çepan.

"Retired, totally transformed, but energetic. He gets up, waits for people and sits down, jokes, asks about his family, health, business, life. Then he turns again to Mondi, a man wearing a T-shirt in front of him: "We're done, we'll form a new party and call it "313", the journalist further writes.

Arben Rrozhani says that today, on the second day of freedom, Ilir Meta can't get enough of talking to people, and he doesn't even hold a grudge against anyone.

"Meta awaits everyone the same: Filip Çakulin, the director of "Fiks Fare", the show that released the "I want 700 thousand" video 16 years ago and he was forced to resign as deputy prime minister. There is no bitterness and Meta asks Filip, who has taken on the appearance of the fisherman Popeye, but with a beard, about his family and life in general from Tirana to Saranda. A former LSI official brings him an Italian diplomat who expresses his condolences.

Meta can't get enough of talking to people, loudly, happily, without any shame. He is enjoying his second day of freedom to the fullest after his bandit arrest at the entrance to Tirana in October 2024 and then his shameful court appearances inside a glass cage as if he were the world's top terrorist, even though with the accusations he has on his back, all the party chairmen and secretaries-general or former ministers and mayors who paid millions to lobby and have legal protection from studios in the US should be rotting inside.
