His revolt in the Assembly and clash with Niko Pelesh, which subsequently led to the closure of Thursday's plenary session, could cost Gazment Bardhi 30 days of exclusion from parliamentary proceedings.
The Ethics Committee will meet on Monday at 09:30 to review the request of the Socialists, who are seeking to leave Bardhi out of the Parliament for 1 month because, according to them, he offended the Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi.
"Gazment Bardhi repeatedly intervened in aggressive tones, interrupting the speaker, using very serious insulting words towards the Speaker of the Assembly, actions that constitute a serious violation of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly and parliamentary ethics," the socialists' request states.
The Socialists' request was signed by 14 MPs, most of whom are sitting in the MP's chair for the first time in this legislature. Zegjine Çaushi's signature is also striking.
The clash between the head of the DP parliamentary group and Niko Pelesh in Thursday's session came about due to procedure, as the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination was reporting to lawmakers.
Bardhi requested that the deputies themselves submit questions to the Commissioner in the session, but Peleshi refused, sticking only to the written questions submitted earlier by the deputies.
The verbal clash between them led to Bardhi's expulsion from the hall, but due to the democrat's refusal to leave the hall, Peleshi proceeded to the vote and closed the session, again without closing the discussions on the agenda.
