The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, one day after officially taking office, promises a systematic fight against drug trafficking in the country.

This reaction of Balla comes after the arrest of two members as part of the 'Network' operation, where four criminal groups were hit that produced and distributed drugs in different cities of Albania.

"The battle against the production, sale and trafficking of narcotics will intensify, turning into a systematic war throughout the country and border checkpoints. Congratulations to the Directorate of Police and Prosecution Elbasan for the coded operation "Network". I expect more shots like this", writes Balla.

The "Network" mega-operation took place on June 29, 2023, where four criminal groups were hit and 54 people were arrested, who produced and distributed narcotics in different cities of our country.

Quantities of various drugs, firearms, military ammunition, cold weapons and large sums of money in different currencies were also seized.
