Minister Ermal Nufi, official visit to the USA

The Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, has begun an official visit to the United States of America, where he was received at the New Jersey State Capitol by Governor Mikie Sherrill and Brigadier General Yvonne L. Mays, Adjutant General of the State of New Jersey and Commissioner for Military Affairs.

This visit constitutes the first stop within the framework of activities organized for the 25th anniversary of the successful partnership between Albania and the New Jersey National Guard, a collaboration that has significantly contributed to strengthening defense, security and interoperability capacities between the two allied countries.

"The strategic partnership with the US remains one of the main pillars of our security and defense policy. Albania will continue to be a reliable ally, contributing responsibly to peace, stability and common security" - said Minister Nufi in his publication on social networks.

During this week in the US, Minister Nufi will participate in a series of activities in New Jersey as part of the 25th anniversary of the State Partnership Program, while he will also travel to Washington for bilateral meetings and talks in the field of defense.
