From Shkodra, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that a major investor cannot be allowed to leave Albania once again, citing as an example the case of an investor who, according to him, left the country and chose to invest in Montenegro.
During his speech, Rama also shared a conversation he had with a friend of his, known on social media, who had participated in the protest against the project.
"Hey, I said to one of these people who is well-known: 'Why did you come out? What's wrong? What's wrong with you? Come on, stop talking, ask me.'
– No, man, it's not the environment's business.
– You see, they have concerns.
– Okay, I understand them, but what about you?
– Yes, brother, I have Instagram, it's becoming famous, how can I leave it?
These people sit and go out to collect "likes" and comments on Instagram. Do you understand where we are? And I don't want to say that there is no reason to protest, there certainly is, but above all there is reason to work, to build, to come together, because the door that has been opened for us to enter that house is a door that we can never allow anyone or any Albanian to close.
"The investor can leave, but we ate him once. He left us and went to Tivat, and today we have to rumble Montenegro," Rama said.
